Government programs often distribute benefits to people in the form of direct payments. In the transportation sector, these programs are designed to empower people with access to sustainable mobility options including electric vehicles, public transit, and micro-mobility services. However, transportation services are operated by a mix of public and private service providers, and benefits can be provided through a variety of discounts, incentives, and rewards. Further, verification of eligibility can be a challenge to administer and verify that programs are directing benefits to those that need them most.
